I always want to be near you, sampling your delectable and often-times Vegan baked goods and organic loaves of delicious bread. Your tea list? Immaculate (with everything offered both hot and iced). Your espresso? Freshly ground and delicious, deep. Your space? Gorgeous, homey without a modicum of pretentiousness. Your garden behind the store speaks of your honesty. The wall of bulk herbs for purchase? Perfect.
In the words of the almighty Yoda: you guys don't try--you do. You deliver Mosswood Farm Store.

Oh My Gods the pastries and the quiche was amazing! The garden in the back left the air nice and cool with all the bamboo and bananas in the area.

I love visiting this place, mainly for the amazing cafe treats that come out of the kitchen.
The store itself is a history lesson in pre-industrial ways of living, so many healthy cookbooks, some very hard to find elsewhere. If you love baking, knitting sewing or just treating yourself to organic bath goods and herbs, this is the place for you. Quaint and charming but not hokey, this is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. Did I mention the cafe? Sublime pastries (like chess squares and these Argentinian (?) cream filled things in substantial portions, AND savory treats like quiches and tortes (sp?) with fresh from the garden veggies and local cheeses. And locally roasted coffees, local jam and honey. Plus fancy coffee, natural sodas and kombucha.
A visit to Micanopy for us always involves a trip to Mosswood.
Do yourself a favor, make the trip, you will have the pants charmed off you! I *Heart* this place.

The store is a little like an old general store. You’ll find locally-produced and/or handmade items such as fair trade market baskets, soy candles, as well as handmade soaps, and local heirloom vegetable seeds. You can also find locally made homemade jellies and pickles and honey.
We want to make natural, organic, and sustainable living products available for those who want to live a simpler life and lessen their impact on the environment.
